Many of our readers know our close association with the Hilton Manchester Deansgate. You may not know before we founded Chris Hanley Photography, we had many years providing professional photography for international companies and a national newspaper. It was therefore, like putting on a comfy old pair of slippers providing the press pictures on Wednesday. On the 5th March, Hilton Manchester Deansgate announced their partnership with Variety, the Children’s Charity and the afternoon tea event marked the start of their 2014 fundraising efforts. Rebecca Wood, ambassador for Variety, spoke about how the organisation has helped to transform her life since she was born with brittle bone disease. Laurence Davis, an entrepreneur who has spearheaded the charity’s fundraising efforts for over 20 years also be spoke and Lyn Staunton, development director for Variety in the North West attended. John McLaughlin general manager of Hilton Manchester Deansgate co hosted the afternoon tea alongside Hilton in the community foundation director Simon Sheehan. Along with Teachers, clowns, the North west press, businesses and influencers we all went up in the clouds for a teddy bears picnic. Here are some of the pictures of what we got up too.
So if you find yourselves in Manchester in March, why not pop into the Hilton Manchester Deansgate and have afternoon tea up in Cloud23 and support Variety.
